At the end of the 20th century, a key that can open a gateway that will free the Antichrist and bring about the apocalypse is found buried deep beneath New York City. A modern-day Knight Templar (Dolph Lundgren) and an archeologist (Françoise Robertson) must prevent the key from falling into the hands of the Minion, a demonic spirit and servant of the Antichrist, who has the power to possess human host bodies.
